Normally, I hate these sort of posts, but I'm so p*****d off at work at the moment that I need the PH collective's help - which of the many job websites is the most likely to find me an escape route quickly ?

Background - I've been an academic for 15 years in various branches of computing.

Since 2003 I've specialised in forensic computing working on murders, child abuse, copyright violation and fraud. I've written numerous papers on the subject and my first book is due out later this year.

I'm tired of being treated like an incompetent halfwit and having every decision I make overturned by people who don't stop to discuss things, so need to move on and am too cowardly to rely entirely on my own company in the short term (though it has been trading for 4 years with a very small turnover and no loans or losses).

I can probably help to prove that too (or at least, cast sufficient "reasonable doubt" to get you off - but only if you promise to stop doing it).

Now, back to my question... ?

Any suggestions for which ones to contact ? I'm a bit out of touch with the agencies these days.

Not sure for your sector mate. Might be worth a call to Rullion Computer Personnel though?

I have just sent you a e-mail as I am in a similar situation to yourself.

I hope it is of some help at least.

I always found guardian jobs to be really good. Basically avoid the big ones like monster, fish, etc. They are just full of ste and sales jobs. Good luck with it.

Could I find a job tasting pints in exotic parts of the world and reporting back?

Jobserve for me - agents seem to scour it regularly for CVs too, I never apply for jobs, but let them find me...

Jobsite.co.uk has always been useful as well as jobserve.
