Anybody else watching this?

I am finding it extremely uncomfortable but compelling viewing. I am using the laptop and trying not to watch it too carefully but I feel unable to switch over and play Guitar Hero...

Missed that thank God. I am not good with horror films. I have all the Saw films on DVD and have only managed to watch the first one so far. Likewise, the original Japanese version of The Ring had me all but sleeping with the lights one yikes

Horrible horrible film, the ending is a bit like Se7en. Just a why oh why oh why did it have to end like that. Give me something positive at the end please.

I've just had to flick over to Film 4+1 to watch it again now.

Watched it a while ago. Had to switch channels in the middle but turned back over later for some daft reason... the bit where the girl gets her fingers chopped off has to be the worst bit.

Could that be because the Saw films, and add to this Hostel as well, are completely immature, pointless drivel?

They seem like the film that a 15 year old would write. They are not scary, they exist solely to repulse and once you have seen one gruesome fictional death you have seen them all. So the films just end up really, really, dull.

Thank fook! Is it just me that is just wanting them to be dead so it is over for them?

And just /how/ faithful is this to the story it's based on? I hope there is a large amount of dramatic licence eek

Not at all. It is 'inspired' by events.

This is probably the only film i've even intentionally turned off when she drives to the edge of the cliff I think? Just wasn't in the right frame of mind at the time. Never did find out what happened at the end...

It's a pretty horrific film, and if you really want to gross yourself out do some research on Ivan Milat, who it's based on.

But it's a good film, it does exactly what a horror film should do, scare the crap out of you. Far better than Hostel which is cack IMHO.
