Anyone else got one?

We've just bought one, and I have to say despite being a bit sceptical at first, it is bloody brilliant. It is a much much nicer way to wake up in the morning. I no longer feel that I've been stabbed in the heart by an adrenalin shot; as I used to when the alarm started beeping. If you feel crap in the morning, you definitely get one. WARNING: You can sleep through it though if you're very very pissed.

Worth every penny and you can get them off ebay for £50.

I get up at 6am every morning and could do with one of these. Mrs Curn gets up at about 9ish and would be most annoyed!

I wasnt aware of these, but yes they do sound brilliant especially for winter months. I will prob buy one.

I'm a ridiculously heavy sleeper, the I have to set a couple of iphone alarms just to rouse me and I can guarantee to hit the snooze button a good half-dozen times before I get up...

How easy is it to snooze or turn off altogether - if it's difficult to, I might buy one...

If it's easy, I'll have to resort to this or this I think!

Yep, got one of these last year after a recommendation on PH.

It's great, especially now that the mornings are darker. The radio is crap quality, but I'm woken every morning by the light and well before the radio or birdsong cuts in.

If you're like me you will appreciate it even more in the middle of winter.

I have a lot of American servicemen living near me, one of them has a Reveille alarm clock, or something similar, that goes off every morning at 07.00. It always makes me chuckle.

As was I. But it really is good. Little bit light weight for my manly aspirations (everything should be made from oak or iron!) But a quality piece of kit

Yeah, they're a little bit plasticy, and at £100 retail, I think they're a little overpriced for what they are. That said, they're available on ebay (phillips refurbs of display models) for £50.

To the poster who was concerned about getting up at different times, well we do and I just go back to sleep. In fact I find it easier because I haven't just been given the alarm clock adrenalin shot.

Simply brilliant bit of kit IMO.

I sleep with the curtains open and don't wake up when REAL sunlight pours in. I doubt this would work for me...

Imagine leaving your curtains open on a summers evening so that you get woken up the next day by sunlight shining on your face. That's how it feels - obviously without the warmth. The light has a really warm quality to it - slightly orangey. The benefit is that you can set the time for your own personal sunrise.

We always have the sound set on bird song, which gradually fades up volume to the level you pre-set (you can pre-set the lux level to).

ETA Digger, they're £50 on ebay - factory refurbs. I'll find the ebay-shop we got it from and post the link.

Just went into my local boots to have a look and they were £67 in there.

Nope local ones are £99. Are you sure that wasnt the Lumie version (Boots suggestion, not mine)?

If you didn't need to wake up until 9am I'll wager your chuckle wouldn't be so enthusiastic.

I'd love one of them Wake-up light alarm clock things, for work, far better than the mega loud alarm clock I have now. I wear ear plugs in bed, due to noisy door slammers and general lout tvvats, so need a loud alarm, but as I work on a ship the electric frequency tends to make mains clocks run slow or fast at random. I'd be waking up at all silly hours.

The philips has a digital clock. Or am i missing somat?
