job interview dilema
Discussion
Ok, so I've got an interview this afternoon for a long term temp job to cover maternity cover, which is all fine and dandy.
The problem arises in the fact that the role is in a green/environmentally friendly regeneration company. Does anyone think my love of V8's, old cars and the fact that I don't believe in MMGW affect my chances of the job?

It shouldnt - why would you mention those things at the interview anyway? They exist to make money first (I imagine) as very few companies exist for purely non-financial gains - so as long as you can add to that you'll be fine.
Whether you can put up with a constant stream of environmental b

Nothing wrong with conserving resources (more oil to use in a V8 The problem arises in the fact that the role is in a green/environmentally friendly regeneration company. Does anyone think my love of V8's, old cars and the fact that I don't believe in MMGW affect my chances of the job?
) and old cars are more environmentally friendly than buying a new one anyway.I wouldn't mention that it's all rubbish until after you have the job and have realised the company directors have spotted a good way for a quick profit from gullible punters.

Apparently the MD, who if I get the job I'll be PA to, started the company himself and is very very greenified. Whether you can put up with a constant stream of environmental b
ks is another thing! And in every interview I've attended I've been asked what I think about the company policies and what I enjoy doing outside of work.

Just throw in that you enjoy cycling. That'll do it. Unless of course they invite you to join them in a communal cycle ride or something.
