I am booked on Sunday 1700 eurotunnel crossing, I always use them and I am a "frequent traveller"

But due to the news today, I am thinking, maybe I should use a ferry (only because I dont want to end up not travelling because eurotunel shut, ferries all booked etc)

So
I looked at PO Ferries 1 way, Sunday afternoon £37.
BUT
book a day trip with a return for Sunday afternoon £24....WTF

Is there some way of them charging me more if I get there, through the return away and go on holiday as planned?

My return is ok assuming tunnel open in 2 weeks time.

Nope, AFAIK they won't hunt you down after you've done the outward journey and insist that you use the return 'or else'. It's just one of the retarded ways that train ticketing works.

Give the ferry a go - and once you get there - phone up and say you'd like to cancel the return - you may even get a refund. I cancelled an outward with Brittany Ferries and got a full refund smile

Loose marbles are a problem, I would make sure they are properly secured, or you might lose them. wink

I booked my ticket with PO Ferries yesterday £24, not bad cheaper than the tunnel,

Bloody good job I did though, just rechecked the PO Ferries website,

£164 now.....

Now I dont mind companies making profit thats what they do (Ive got one), but I think this is just taking the piss a bit too much.

All I got to do now is probably queue for hours, but at least I get to travel

Autobahns here I come....
