Ok I sliced through my nail yesterday from the top to a few mm's off the bottom going through to one side and have cut the skin underneath. Everytime I touch it it bleeds! I usually hate wearing plasters as it does not heal properly. But the nail is loose from the finger and might get ripped off. so I have to keep something on it.
How can I make it better with out having to go to the hospital? Can I put super glue on the nail to make a seal? Help needed please! Yes I am an idiot I should have paid more attention to what I was cutting!!
Thank you W

He's already cut his bl00dy finger in half, now you want him to halve it again?

Just let it fall off and grow back in again.

I remember a long time ago when I jammed my finger in the door..

Shat myself when a few days later I woke up with no nail! hehe

Dip it in a bowl of salt to clean it.

Then cauterise with acid.

No need for glue after that smile

Don't want to - hate them!!! my husband has suggested I grate the finger down so the problem wouldn't exsist!

I cut my finger quite deeply a couple of months ago and put a drop of superglue on it to seal it. Healed nicely and you can't see a scar.

Ouch! Far be it for me to tell you do dip it in something to give you more pain, but I would go with the plaster route.

But then again I am a wimp.

Rip the loose bit off entirely somehow or other, otherwise you're gonna keep catching it on stuff and making it hurt again. Once the loose bit is off do not put a plaster on, just leave it to dry out, it will soon toughen itself up and stop being sore. Then the nail will grow back eventually.
