Ok guys. I've been tricked (tricked I tell you!!) into 'popping' to Reading tomorrow with the other half for 'shopping'.

To be honest, I don't remember agreeing, but it seems I might have been drunk.

Now, I was wondering if you guys could give me a reason to go. I'm after any gadgety thing that might make the trip worth while.

Was thinking about popping to John Lewis to take a look at the iPod touch, purely for video storage but then again, I do have an iPod classic and a MacBook, so like every thing a man 'has' to own, it would be pointless but oh so cool!

I'm after any other suggestion that fits the above criteria, pointless-gadgety-cool.

Hmmm... How much are PS3's going for these days??? scratchchin

Not that convinced that my Ipod touch is that much better than an ipod classic.

Advent have a new range of micro laptops out which are excellent. Just got the 4211.....80gb Hd, windows XP etc. on a 1kg laptop about 17cm * 15cm.

I just bought a Sony Reader from Waterstones. Lovely thing to use, the software to upload your ebooks is a bit crap though.

Nintendo DS and a Cyclo DS chip with 8gb micro SD card.

Or just save your money and not spend just for the sake of it.

hehe So true...

'Not spend the money' that is not the man thing to do... wink

Unfortunately, I don't read enough books to warrant one. Although.... that would fulfill the 'pointless' criteria!

PS3 - obvious but a fantastic bit of kit, amazing games, blu ray player, wi fi hub, dvd player, hard disc all in one!

Sony reader - also cool.

Cough Xbox360, miles ahead online. My PS3 gathers dust, as does the wii.

This is high on my list. Given that I bought a lovely big new HDTV a couple of months ago, the blu-ray player is something that interests me greatly!

Cronky's got an Xbox already.

Anyone who looking ought to get an Xbox over the PS3 if only to hear Dave pissed up on Vodka "I'm peshed" & his mrs in the background "ya he's peshed" heheh

hehe Hey mate. Haven't been online for a while. Need to get some COD4 time in again soon. But moving about recently has left me with less and less time.

Think I've decided on a Blu-Ray player...

Can't be assed to start buying games for a new machine (ie. PS3), so a blu-ray player it is... I think...

You do know that the best blu-ray played on the market at the moment is the PS3? wink

He's not wrong. It is also the only one which is pretty much futureproof for new features as Sony will just release a new firmware.
