I want to go from Waterloo Station to The O2 Arena

Anyone know how far the pier is from Waterloo and on the O2 end and how long it takes?

Is it quicker/better than the Tube?

I assume the pier would be the one by the London Eye, in which case it's a 5-10min walk from Waterloo. No idea about the other end. I doubt it would be quicker, but surely almost anything is likely to be more pleasant than the tube?

Their timings are usually a bit generous, but not too bad - they reckon an hour by boat, or 20 mins by tube.
