Seems that piracy pays these days !

Now, where did I put my eye-patch and parrot?

Are you allowed to shoot the buggers if you're in international waters...?

I've just applied for a job with a shipping insurance company here in Oslo, and have been having a quick read up on stuff.

Somalia is a nightmare for shipping now, they keep extending the safe distance from shore as I gather there's at least a couple of decent attacks a week.

Reading this story : http://www.aftenposten.no/english/local/article264... one would assume you can use non-deadly force in the form of water cannons.

One of my mates in the merchant navy used to sail around Thailand, he was boarded and all they took was rope, ignoring the crappy quality electrical goods onboard. The pirates main method of surprise was to attack in the buff. Think if I was confronted by an AK-47 wielding nuddy kickboxer I'd hand the keys over.

Yes, it must be considerably more surprising to be attacked by a naked pirate than a clothed one!

Don't tell me that yesterday's bank redundancy victims have started a new business already?

Piracy isn't regulated by the IFA so it's open season silly
