Recently i heard something along the lines of "if you get up an hour earlier than normal, you wont be so tired"

I'd just like to confirm this is total bks, save yourself from a day of fuzzy headed-ness and yawning and stay in bed an extra hour.

that is all.

Depends on when you normally get up doesnt it. I find I'm freshest if I wake up after 8 hours of sleep. I would still rather have a lie in though.

Who started this myth?!? Clearly a fool...
I think you'll find that getting up and hour LATER makes you feel a lot more fresh.

This is normal prep time for woman. It is a woman isn't it? you didn't say.
Its not normal for a straight bloke. we're up 15 minutes before the off.
Unless you want your other half to look like a sack 'o spuds first thing, leave her to it.

I went to bed early last night and did not have any wine. I got up early this morning and I still feel like sh*t, whereas normally I would be tickety boo. I can't function in the morning unless it feels like my liver and kidneys are about to rupture. It gives me an edge; helps me stay sharp.

She is a woman, at least thats what they said when I ordered her.

Silly woman insists on using an effing hairdryer in the bedroom interfering with my sleep.

more than 5 hours and I feel like crap. More than 8 and I might as well not bother with the rest of the day...

An hour later, and hour earlier; it makes cock-all difference.

It's how you wake up.... if your alarm goes whilst you're in a deep pattern of sleep, you're fecked. You can wake 3 hours early in a light phase of sleep and feel fresher than you would if you woke 4 hours later in a heavy doze.

Digger.

Waking-up has been a cause of confusion my whole life. Hopefully my new Philips Wake-Up Light (see other thread) will finally bring an end to those dark foreboding wintry mornings :shiver: wink

PS Is it the whole of Europe that has the BST clock change?? This needs to change!

No no, you've UNDERcooked your turkey by 90 minutes and you probably now feel like you're about to die of salmonella.

Live and learn (or maybe not in your tragic case).

Well I would say a couple of hours, but you wasted an hour and half of that this morning. Just the 30 minutes then...
