So, I've been happily retired from teaching for 4 years now. Cruising along nicely on my pension and assorted part-time earnings, mainly from car auction driving.
But the weather is turning cold, we're on short time most days and B*A management are sh*te. OK, I get to drive some rare and beautiful cars every so often but mostly it's dull, repetitive work.
Then an ex-colleague passes on a request he's been given to find an A' level Physics teacher for a local college. So I contact them, pay them a visit, fill in some forms, teach a short demo. lesson and bingo! As from next Monday I'm a teacher again.
I hope I don't live to regret this decision.

You're in the driving seat - if you're not happy, go back to enjoying your retirement.

Best of luck smile

It's a sixth form college with a really nice catchment area. The students I came across were very polite (holding doors open!) and I also came across another ex-colleague working there who told me how much more civilised it was than the community school we'd taught at previously.
