one of these?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&am...

Looks like a plug and play unit tht sits on the visor.

Just curious about quality over one thats wired through the stereo..

Not bad if it saves me £60 and 3 points for using my phone!

I have a phone parrot. Works perfectly.

Had one of those clip to the sunvisor things, pony and trap.
Gone with Parrot, well worth the extra ££.

Might get what you pay for. I also have the Parrot one that clips on visor good bit of kit. Have done the "cheap" route before. And it's now binned.

Another vote for the Parrot kit (3100). Excellent piece of kit.

That does look like some good kit. Were you all able to install in yourself? or would there be £40/£50 installation fee down halfords?

Bought a Jabra one about 3 years ago. Well pleased with it. Very long battery life and good clear sound. http://www.jabra.co.uk/Sites/Jabra/UK-UK/products/...

Mine plugged into the cars ISO plug. No cutting of wires and very removable. Uses the stereo speakers and digital display (Saab)

I've got a Jabra one too. Bought as a sale item form CPW about 6 months ago.

A sinlge charge & it lasts all week, I just eave in the centre console & pick it up when an incoming call comes.

Unlike other ones I've tried, this one has no problems recognising the voice dial commands on my phone, so it's ideal for "in car" use.

Don't buy any of the cheap sunvisor kits - I've had 2 which were both useless.

However, I ended up buying a Parrot Minikit - another sunvisor kit, which works perfectly.

Use a sunvisor one called a 'visorlite', cost about £50, so more than that ebay one... Not pefect but does the job, little hard to hear with windows down etc.. but they all are... Can easily be swapped about, was gonna go hard-wired but need to move it from car to car...

If you change your mind and fancy a headset I can recommend a Jawbone, very clear, comfortable, long battery and a USB charger.

Although I've taken to turning off the phone (or at least silencing it) when I'm driving, I do have a Plantronics Discovery 640 for those occasions where I need to be reachable whilst in the car.

I can recommend it; voice quality is very good, and it comes with a selection of adapters so you can charge it with a selection of common phone chargers, thus eliminating the need for another wall wart in the briefcase.
