Looking for some inspirational music to drag a few miles out of me on the treadmillbiggrin
Doesn't all have to be this coronary inducing 140 bpm music but i guess dance and pop is a good start.

I don't really listen to music when im at the gym, but I was listening to Pendulum the other day, and thought that would be quite good gym music.

A good uplifting trancy type mix.

Or some good heavy metal.

Depends on my mood. Found that the track from the last Bond Movie, Casino Royale is rather good. smile

generally trance of some description, but I had Among The Living by Anthrax going the other day and that was pretty good for helping keep the pace up.

http://www.djsteveboy.com/podrunner.html - legal, consistent BPM mixes. Great for running, rowing, etc to keep the pace up.

I also have a treadmill workout from the Nike+ site which is very good, takes you through incline then speed intervals. It's the only way I've ever been able to put up with treadmill running for more than a few minutes.

A while ago I used a BPM analyser to tag my MP3s (can't remember which but this one would do the job: http://www.pistonsoft.com/bpm-detector.html ) then have some smart playlists in iTunes for different BPM ranges - good if I just want some random music at around the right speed.

Theme tune from Rocky IV.

Doesn't go down well when you get carried away and lay out the person on the next treadmill out with a swift right though.

I'll second that, though why limit yourself to just Rocky IV?

Paul Oakenfold, Live at Gatecrasher 1999.
The track is about 1hr20mins and has, on average, 135bpm keeps me going.
I know the track so well i can plan my breathers in with the quiet parts of the track.

Tens of groaning Turks and Indians.

On a serious note I don't, they pump music through the place and that's fine for me, seeing as I am only ever doing weights as opposed to running/rowing/jogging ect.

A lot of the gyms in Dubai are staffed by Filipinos (how that country has a population I'll never know - all the blokes are poofters) so it's mostly bad covers of Whitney Houston, Britney Spears and loads of other really soppy songs.

soulfly, machine head, sepultura, slayer, skinlab, assorted metal, more aggressive rap, uplifiting dance music.

I like to be quite pi55ed off in the gym - no point going into the gym looking to lift heavy being nice and happy IMO!
