Atlantis (nearest the camera) is missioned to service the Hubble telescope but if something goes wrong they cannot reach the safety of the ISS, so Endeavour is ready for a rescue mission.

How much does a shuttle mission cost these days? 500million some estimate. And this is possibly costing two shuttle missions. Is the telescope really worth that much money for scientists to look into the depths of the universe for a few more years.

Oh, those ships are a bit pricey. Is it really worth all those shillings so that we can explore for new worlds, when we can spend it on sticks and mud instead?

Are you American? If not why care? It's the yanky taxpayers who pay for it!

Imho, it is definately worth it, striving for knowledge is what sets us apart from other species.

Actually I'm right with you there buddy.

It must have been much better when all we did was eat, sleep, have sex and throw sitcks at each other.

Exactly, we've all seen a shuttle launch, what we haven't seen is two shuttles
launching...........at night...that would be worth watching.

Oh, and build a massive "Christmas tree" between the launch pads.....
What's the 1/4 mile time for a Shuttle anyway?

Besides they have just shelled out $700Bn to prop up their economy, why worry about $500Mn, piffle.

You're alright though. Entering the legal profession has to be the closest modern equivelant.

Two space shuttles on a pad, one says to the other..
"I'm hungry"
The other replies
"It must be launch time"

Thank you, thank you very much!
