landfill sites - Anywhere I can get a list ?
Discussion
Think they'll need to narrow it down a bit: there are thousands. Operational or closed? Inert, hazardous, non-haz? All of England and Wales or just particular areas? The Environment Agency will have the info on sites open after 1994, info on anything that closed before then will be buried in an archive at best and all but irretrievable. Local councils shoudl have info on old sites they are still responsible for.
Your problem will be that if you want a list of all sites from the Agency they'll have to faff about and it'll probably be a chargeable request. If you just want info on a particular area use their 'what's in my backyard' search on their website. Alternatively if you just want summary info on how many landfills of each class there are that shouldn't be too hard to do - use the contact info on the website.
