West Coast Mainline - Will I be affected?

Catching a train this afternoon from Glasgow Central to Manchester Picaddilly and then onto Sandwell and Dudly. Got an e-mail a few days ago from Virgin saying that the line may be affected, but I'm doing the first part of the journey with Transpennine Express.

They say there is no problems, Virgin says there is, and Nationalrail dosent say a thing.

Can anyone shed some light on this? And put me out of my misery and tell me that I'll be on a coach for half my journey?

alright mate, im working in that area today there is diversions on everywhere, i would say you are going to be affected unless the diversions are lifted before you travel of course!!
