What's the most dangerous thing you did as a kid
Discussion
We moved to a brand new house on a new development when I was eight, still suprised that I'm alive today!
Had great fun riding on the JCB's, dumper trucks and Hymac's, there was zero health and safety.....it was fantastic! The battles we use to have as kids climbing on the scaffolding still stay with me today, great times.
The closest I came to harming myself was when I was sat on one of the dumper trucks which I was revving up (all the builders where about but they were use to kids being around). For some reason I put it into gear and started moving towards a newly laid concrete garage floor, a grabbed at the gear lever to try and stop it but only managed to select a higher gear and started moving faster towards the garage. At the last second I managed to get it out of gear, I jumped down and ran off.

Started a fire on the site of an old factory that was being knocked down.
Stood there, me and my mate Michael, and threw fire extinguishers and Calor gas canisters on the fire.
I had to be "in" for (say) 8pm so set off walking home ten minutes before. On the way home we heard the loudest bang I'd ever heard!
Got home to Mum asking "Had I heard/seen anything funny, as there was a huge explosion a few minutes ago".

Walk on frozen ponds.
Play on the railway lines.
Jump across a cutting/footpath on a pushbike.
Scale four-storey scaffold clad houses.
Play in open earth excavations.
Rock climb.
Use own climbing gear to abseil from factory roofs and railway bridges.
Wear roller skates and hang onto the back of London busses up to 40mph.

Once saw a demonstration by a hippy science teacher of a model volcano, using a papier-mache volcano, a tin can, some [chemical X], sugar and sulphuric acid.
I didn't realise it, but the sugar, as well as helping to make the volcano erupt, also acted as a 'fuse' to allow the volcano-er to get to a safe distance.
Later replicated it myself, used industrial quantities of Chemical X and acid, but I had forgotten about the sugar.
Not good, my friends, not good.
