Australia - Need for Jabs/Innoculations?

Anybody have any recommendations for travelling to Oz. Taking my family over Christmas and so far my somewhat feckless GP hasn't given a definitive answer despite quizzing him on the subject of innoculation.

Plan on travelling up to Port Douglas from Brisbane and also down to Sydney. Laymans thoughts is that with Port Douglas being in the Tropics will need Yellow fever and the like...

Any recommendations based on prior experience. Any GP's in the P&P today? All advice welcome.

P.S I'm not the biggest fan of needles so nobody recommending everything unnecessary and turning me into a pin cushion, right
