My mums looking for a Hot tub. we looked at the one's they sell at Cadburys garden center near Britol last weekend and they sell these http://www.hotspring.co.uk/
we have only jsut started looking at hot tubs and don't know a great deal so thought I would ask to find out if anyone can recommened a company?

seen that 1. very cheap but after looking online seems they costs a hell of a lot to run. so in the end you may as well spend the extra on the tub that will cost much less to run over the years. but just my thoughtspioneer said:

Would suggest budgetting £1.50 a day for running costs to use it 365 days a year at 38 deg C.
So at least £500 a year on your leccy bill.

We looked at the hotsprings tubs at the time of deciding, but there wasn't one in the range that really suited our needs. That was the only reason not to purchase one though, nothing put us off the company or the products.
I would advise
a) checking out the manufacturer, making sure they are a stable company
b) going through any warranty offered with a fine tooth comb
c) purchasing as local as possible. You often receive a dicount on further chemicals (although they can be purchased in bulk just as cheaply of t'net). Plus you know exaclty who to run to if you have any issues/problems/queries.
d) ALWAYS wet test your intended tub before purchase, to make sure it fits your shape and expectations

Slightly O/T, but I'm a hot tub virgin and the place the missus and I have booked to "get away from it all" at Xmas has one on the secluded patio. Apart from the obvious and almost obligatory use (a nod's as good as a wink to a blind bat), what are they like?
Is it just a nice place to chill out (assuming you can chill out in hot water) despite (or because of) the ambient temperature?
