In today's news:

Gays have a duty to vote Tory.

What cause do gays have?

Not wanting to appear stupid here, but surely their only aim is to have sex with men, not take over the world.

slightly off topic, you know there is such a thing as a gay pride march
http://www.pridelondon.org/

could there not be some sort of festival of 'straightness' which would not be deemed as being politically uncorrect??

Oh of course it would be deemed un-PC...downright offensive no doubt.

The last mayor of Stoke-on-Trent was gay. He was booted out after it transpired all he'd done since being mayor was try to set up a Gay Pride festival in Stoke, with the ordinary tax payer expected to foot the enormous bill for all the Policing, organisation and clean-up. I've nothing against gays, but if they want to throw a party they can bloody well pay for it themselves.

The article just seemed bizarre in as much as a prospective candidate was suggesting the Tory Party was the natural home for individuals who make that particular sexual choice.

What possible other reason is better to vote for a party other than your sexuality? After all, the economy, defense, education, healthcare, pensions, infrastructure, etc, all take precedent to being a gay... Doesn't it? Gutter politics, at its lowest level

Sexual politics occurs because the government has had and still has many laws that criminalise acts between consenting adults for the sole reason of sticking their noses in and making sure people tow the line. The gay community up until recently had some of the most draconian laws against them but since it is now not politically correct to discriminate against them most of the worst ones have been repealed or changed. This kind of thing still needs to go on.

The government still needs a scapegoat so they are now picking on the BDSM community instead, and are passing law to make many pictures of acts illegal even if the acts themselves are perfectly legal. They are doing it because they think it promotes rape and murder, after all people are reading violent pornographic mangas in japan so commonly they are reading it on the train to work and it is sold pretty much everywhere and look how high the violent crime statistics are there! Oh wait, it is in fact one of the lowest in the world. We are undergoing yet another act of lawmaking by tabloid, because while the Tory party are covering themselves by appealing to the pink vote the party in power are after the Daily Mail reading vote, at the expense of a smaller group.

It would not be too hard for sports cars drivers to be the next minority that gets picked on, they are getting pretty desperate now.
