Has anyone else noticed this?

For example they spend a whole segment of news time talking about something and make out that its very new and topical (when its not) and when they go back to the studio the presenter says...

If you like to see more on the that then catch Panorama, or Inside Out, or whatever tonight at .-.-.

Its not bloody news it a shameless plug!

Its fooking outrageous!

but if it's on News 24 you get to hear that background music beat which is rather foot-tappy so surely for that reason alone we can forgive Aunty Beeb her minor discretions. Mind you, Bill Bailey does it better..

I stopped watching BBC News ages ago. I got sick of them plugging...

The (already overpriced) housing market.
Global Warming.
Political correctness.
The Labour party.
Etc.

I find that BBC news is now one big plug for 'Strictly/celebrity/dogs/Journos/come dancing', it would appear that as far as Breakfast is concerned, a 2 hour long advert for it, features, stories etc, all about this one show, only halting for some pillock going on about 'City' things with some half assed graphs behind him.

The BBC don't do news at all anymore, so if you want news, go elsewhere.

Sky News reminds me of The Sun, on TV, without page 3.

BBC News today just seems to be Wall St / Conservatives / Wall St / Conservatives / Wall St / Conservatives / Wall St / Conservatives. No actual news.

Original 3-minute version of the theme here;
http://news.bbc.co.uk/player/nol/newsid_4990000/ne...

Various other remixes here:

Agreed about the advertising though. The BBC self-adverts seem to be getting longer and more frequent.

The BBC have always done this. They advertise their own shows which are mainly rubbish (unless it's Life on Mars or Ashes to Ashes) and of course there's the TV Licence as well...

That along with Product Placement in many many shows too.

Today will see the day that millions of smokers will quit due to the introduction of horrible pictures plastered on packets.

Every interview is the same.

Beeb: Will pictures of diseased lungs/dead people make you quit?
Smoker: No.
Beeb: [shows example picture].
Smoker. Oh my god. Is that a dead man?
Beeb: Yes. He died from smoking.
Smoker: Wow, that is really bad, I'll probably quit soon (right after I've smnoked this 20 pack I've just purchased).

However, instead of these pictures my workmate and I decided that child porn pictures would have more of an impact.

What normal member of society would want to carry those images around in their pocket? None. So if you see a smoker, you see a paedo and can round up a mob with pitchforks and hound them out of town/stone them to death without legal repercussions.

Unless they are from duty free/abroad.

To be fair, could also be a BBC reporter....

Never watch BBC news.
Just too bias.

If you can, watch Aljezera (sp)
ITV is OK
Another good one if you can is RT = Russia Today, suprisingly not bad

Are you sure you are feeling alright? ITN is absolutely dire.

I get the feeling Ronald Macdonald won't be happy until he is sainted.
