So the russians supreme court have now decided that the Romanovs were unlawfully killed.

Does this mean they will get a Monarchy back? OR what does it actually mean?

here is the link to the BBC

I believe you are correct it was settled. My jibe was rooted in the conspiracy that she had escaped and was recently alive.

When was the last claim? How old would she be now?

The most recent claim was from an American who said her mum was Anastasia.

She would of been born around the turn of the century. So even if she wasn't shot in the forest she more than likely would be dead through old age now.

Or Vladimir Putin more likely.....................
I think he is more likely to have decended from the guy who said "Fire"

Jag G's info is correct, I did wonder if George V and decendants of, may be involved. (I hope that's the correct George)

Especially since good King George refused his cousin's family asylum in the UK.
Quite. He dithered until it was too late. Perhaps he didn't envisage what might happen, but still very poor form.

Odd that the Russians are digging up (no pun intended) their monarchy though.

So often in history it seems that countries destroy their monarchy through simple envy, then later wish they hadn't.

Czar Nicholas.

And Prince Michael of Prince.
