If you do it through your usual bank's online banking, it's usually in your account immediately.

What sort of bike?

Motorbike: A lot of companies are doing 0% finance at the moment on selected models.

Pushbike: Are you an employee, is the cycling to work scheme an option?

At half 1 this is the best advice going.

Z1000 If engined.
Raleigh Fourteen if not.

lol. a motorbike, already got a pushbike.

its not a requirement for the job but i need it to get there as i dont want to take the bus :/

as for the Z1000(i think cant rememeber what it was) thats a bit big for me atm, as i have only just passed my CBT and im after a NRS125 or TZR125.

then when i get payed i will go for the DAS and get a big bike.

was thinking of something like a RVF400.

so through online banking can be immidiatly??? can you explain a little more please??

i know about the 0% finance but for a 125 for a few months i dont really want to spend £2800 on a bike that i will sell in a few months and still have to pay finance. wereas i spend a grand and then dont have to pay the finance (ok i have to pay the loan but thats different)

when i sell the bike i can just pay it off plus a bit of, um,,, wats it called,,, fines for not taking a year to pay.

Depends where you are getting your money, anywhere from immediately to a couple of weeks.

Should be in BB BTW I think but...
If your only going to be riding a 125 etc. for a few months I'd buy a stter from PH or the Bay. A 15 year old 125 is going to cost you less than £500 and you won't be arsed if you bin it.
Save the cash for a proper Subaru beater wink

May even be a bit less I think. A Nicely tuned NC30 is a match to be recond with ridden well.

definatly, can ruin other bikes in the corners, even thou bikes will fail to keep up in the proper twistys.

I have heard of someone who fitted a 25bhp shot of nos to a switch on full throttle for drag racing. said it absolutly flew.

will have to find the link/info

Only just done CBT, you say?

Right, don't take out a loan to buy a fancy 'sports' 125. They're no faster than a 500 quid Honda CG125....

Buy a cheap Honda CG125 or Suzuki GS125 for now - once you've done DAS get some insurance quotes before deciding on what to buy - I think you may be in for a bit of a surprise at just how bloody expensive it can be to insure a sportsbike as a newly qualified rider.

Remember, most 400cc sportsbikes are getting old and worn out these days, so you may well be better buying a much newer Honda Hornet or similar.

If you are definitely going the loan route, try getting a loan where you are buying the bike, Honda can do a Black Horse Finance agreement for 6.5%, if you are nice they may get it down to 5.75%. smile

Yep, the AA wanted £10k to insure me on a new ZX6R!

Managed to find a more sensible quote of £700, but I think I'll wait till Jan and buy a older CBR.

In that case, when you get your loan, don't forget to add in a bit extra for your coffin.
