3 Store - Southampton

I went in there yesterday to buy a phone on PAYG to replace my contract phone following an insurance claim. I walk in and after being asked to wait in the corner while they find someone to talk to me (there were two 3 store staff standing there talking to each other)

I get fked off so go and queue at the PAYG express till and then someone who looks like the manager says "who's next" so I explained that I rang up earlier to check the price of a phone in your store and want to buy that one etc etc. He looks at me as if i couldn't possibly afford this one and says with a sigh "that's going to cost you £249.99"

I explained that I rang up earlier as I was told the phone is infact the same as the 3store price online at £229.99. He said I'll check and pulled out a sheet which I saw had £229.99 on it and he said "that's gonna be £239.99"

I questioned him and said I called earlier and you confirmed the price to me and now your telling me it's different and he said all the phones have to have £10 top-up on it. I said I didn't want it and he said no phone is leaving this store without £10.00 top up on it. This is funny because the price online is £229.99 including £10 top-up anyway I just said forget it, and lost my rag abit and walked out saying that he was useless fking idiot. It really infuriated me and I wish I could do something about it...

Anyway so I get home and try and order it online at £229.99 and after 10 attempts of it saying they cant validate my details I ring the direct sales line which patches me through to New Delhi and I get some useless idiot saying I want to sign up for a contract after 30minutes of explain that all I want to do is fking buy the fking phone on pay as you go I gave up and hang up on him.

Now I'm stuck with no fking phone and I can't order it from anywhere. GRRRR!!!

Been with 3 for about 5 years and happy with the service. No dropped calls, better reception than most networks and really good value for money.

I'm amazed you even managed to reach the shop yesterday, WTF was going on with the traffic?!? Took me nearly an hour to get into the city centre

Bloody hell, it took me 40 minutes to get to West Quay yesterday but I before I left my house I heard alot of sirens and as I drove down the Avenue I noticed down the road to the left where tesco express is was shut with about 6 police cars and a fire engine so I'm thinking either the petrol station exploded or Cadbury's Wispa's have finally hit town either way I dont suspect that had any knock on effect elsewhere but it certainly is the worst I have ever seen the city centre in the 2 years i have been here.

Not after it took you 40 minutes to do a 5 minute journey then 3 hours of going in every bloody womens clothes shop being asked if every garment "looks nice" etc. and then you have to deal with some ahole which should of just been a simple purchase.

If you can do big words, write to the MD of 3 and complain, stating exactly what happened and how his staff acted, he'd be so pissed of receiving the letter he will kick st out of some pleb to sort it out.

I had my first ever contract phone with 3g and I swore that I will never use them again. They are cretins of the highest order with st customer service, also when they realise you arent going to renew the contract they ring you up everyday trying to convince you.
