Forgive the drivel of somebody who doesn't have a clue what he is on about!

But...what if all the financial institutions and governments got together and simply reset all the balance sheets to zero and said "right lads, start again and no pissing around this time"

could a scenario like this work? is it a dafter suggestion that waiting to see the world explode in a LHC stylee?

So you'd be happy to go to the cash machine and find that your account balance was now 0. Oh, and you won't get paid because your employer has also had it's balance set to zero. And you'll have to start supporting your ageing parents too as their pensions had also been reset to 0. Still at least the mortgage and credit cards wouldn't have to be paid off.
