Nasty insignificant scrotes

I feel that I have to vent off a little so apologies in advance.
Last Thursday night a very good friend of mine was cycling home from work through Milton Keynes when he saw 3 youths blocking the way. He shouted out at them to get out the way as he approached at speed and then he awoke in hospital. They knocked him off the bike and set about repeatedly kicking him in the head until he was unconcious and then left him for dead. All this was seen by a witness who thankfully rang for an ambulance.
Thankfully he was wearing a cycling helmet which prevented any brain damage occuring, the CT scan gave the all clear. He has no other injuries or bruising anywhere but his head just proving that these mindless thugs had only one intention but to leave him dead. Saturday night he had re-constructive surgery on both his cheek bones and his jaw.
He is now home but still cannot open his eyes due to the swelling. It's far to early to tell what psychological effects this attack will leave but everyone that knows him is hoping that while it will take some time, hopefully he will make a full recovery.
The police have caught two of the scrotes and released one on bail. I hope the book is thrown at them but I very much doubt that will happen.
This man is the most genuine person I have ever met and has recently been crowned Formula 2 World Champion in our sport (have a look at my profile for a clue), I just hope the courts do the business.

Of course the trouble with that sort of idea is invaribly they would eventually give out an incorrect address..accidentally of course. whoops, there go my careless hands, again.
Horrible incident though and too common. Hope they aren't allowed to get away with it.

I would like to hope that I'd never take the law into my own hands but if something that were to happen to either of my parents, or my girl, close friends etc ? I'm not sure i could help it

when the police arrived and statements taken... Caz did mention she'd hit one of them with the shovel she was holding, to which the policeman takeing the statement said, not to worry, viewed as self defence...
and one mouthing off about being beaten up by one of the security guys... i think the policeman he was telling was a little deaf in one ear.
i belive the outcome was that 2 of them where found guilty of assault... forget eh sentence now.
