I'm currently selling a Mk2 golf on ebay, its a 5-door oak green 8v.

So far i've had people ask me if its a 16v even though i have made it clear on the advert its an 8v and someone has stuck the badge on for comedy value.

Then i had this question a second ago:

WOULD YOU ACCEPT #250 CASH FOR IT? DOES THE VEHICLE HAVE ANY ROAD TAX. CAN YOU LEAVE ME YOUR NUMBER SO I COULD CONTACT YOU. CHEESE

Now, i've literally listed it today, and it has a buy it now of £450, fair play the guy is trying his luck, however im not sure what he's offering?

250 waffles? and cheese?

No I think he means 250 Great British Pounds Sterling, commonly shortened to the symbol: "£".

£450?

Is it a dog? These things are getting harder and harder to come by and usually fetch a premium!

There is no £ symbol, it could mean Zimbabwean dollars

To be fair, its got no MOT and no tax, i've been meaning to sort it for 2 months now and i just haven't had time, plus its over my fathers place and he's busy so it just sits there, i'd rather knock it out cheap than have it sat there decaying.

But I strongly suspect he means pounds as the advert is in pounds and he is clearly English.
And to answer the extraordinary mystery that is "cheese", I suspect strongly that his username will give some clue to this.
Either his username will contain the word 'cheese' or his actual surname will contain the word 'cheese'.
Thus he is simply signing off the email.

Cheese! I'm gonna have to use that when sending pointless ebay emails to friends selling stuff!

His user name does not envolve the word "cheese" the saga continues...

You listed the advert with a £450 (GBP) price, so to be fair, it would be quite odd if he was offering Zimbabwean Dollars.

As for 'CHEESE' - maybe he was taking a picture of the email he just wrote?

SAUSAGES.

Remember that little chat we had yesterday about luring me into thread with false promise of amusingness and interest?
You see asking you if you would accept £250 for a car optomistically priced at £450 is really neither of those things.
wink
