The days that the 25th & 26th fall on (Thurs & Fri) mean that for 6 days leave, I am taking over a fortnight off.

And by God, I'll need it by then.

Off to the Scottish Highlands for New Year. Hoping for snow.

Having fun with my son.....

And maybe, just like last year, eating fish fingers, chips and beans, followed by ice cream and jelly for dinner biggrin

Lots of crap tv, and a tipple or two

We've got some candles saved and some blankets. Luckily there is a plentiful supply of tinned food in so festive baked beans and spam is looking good. I've already splashed out on a new pair of socks for our grandson and I have an old quilt that I am going to lag the boiler with as a nice surprise for the wife. The tree is going to be a dead apple tree in a bucket adorned with some Tescos plastic bags and I have brewed up some Industrial strength floor polish for the punch with some jelly babies I found down the back of the sofa.

Can't wait....and you're all welcome party

Staying here this Xmas - will probably go down to the beach with the wife, along with a few bottles of Fizz and a picnic (oh and about 400 other expats for company ! laugh) .
