The name of our new shopping centre was changed from Merchants Quarter because of the slavery (yawn) and racist (double yawn) connotations dreamt up by people who have no relationship whatsoever to those the issues affected years ago. Let's not remember at all that a merchant is a type of trader and does not have to be linked to slavery.

Now Bristol Rovers have renamed their mascot Captain Black Arab. How long before someone goes stark staring bonkers over this...
