Online trading account recommendations?

Anyone have recommendations regarding setting up an online share trading account? Sites and can this be done offshore?

I'm having a look on the tinterweb as we speak but would also like advice from the PH lot as well.

Good rates and I've never had any problems with them.

Interesting, this is in Red at the top of the front page - I guess lots of people are either selling up like crazy and those with cash are signing up to make the most when the market rolls.

I have been using IG index, they seem ok from what I have seen
