Have had the 'benefit' of having a radio on all day today.
Every news bulletin has informed me that the names of 100,000 miltary personnel have been lost. (for some reason the Daily Mail is reporting 700,000
)
I don't read the DM - was checking for the number with a Google search
Anyway.
Are they sure they've lost all their names? What are the troops doing in the interim? I thought they all had their name stitched to their clothes so that they would't forget. So even if every soldier, sailor and airman had been zapped by that Neuralyzer from Men in Black, they'd only have to look down to their left tit to remember who they were again.
I think this is hoax news to deflect us from hating Brown and Darling while they let the Icelanders bum us.

V8Mate, what you can rest assured on is these losses have always happened, only digital media makes it possible for quite a bit more to go in one incident. The processes in place should ensure data is safely handled but not always as there is human error at the end of the day. What I can say is that as a result of improved proceedures on incident reporting they get picked up more than ever.
Its a bit like when we wer kids what now makes the international news, thanks to the improved communications networks, would never even hit local news for days.
Still, it is shocking nonetheless.
