Does it need to happen? Thinking of Wizbilly in particular. Some people can't spell but does that provide an excuse for the playground bullying that occurs, regularly, on here?

It makes a post very difficult to read and many browsers now include a spellcheck.

It's grammer that annoys me, just highlights that people have made no effort, whether it be now or in the past.

My spelling's terrible, but I try to check it if I'm not in too much of a rush.

I take your point, but if you do have a problem with spelling then why post on a forum that let's face it is well known for it's p***taking?

There's fault on both sides, maybe?

yes

I don't have a big problem with people's spelling and think that you can often spot someone who's dyslexic (from the way they spell). It gets irritating, but you can deal with it.

It's the poor grammer that's annyoing and makes posts hard work to read.

Grammar, spelling, who cares? If it is txt speak then fair do's but otherwise it may be the best someone can offer. Would you laugh at a paraplegic attempting to ride a unicycle?

Decent web browsers have built-in spell checking. It takes no time, just look for red underlining before you submit.

Doesn't fix grammar or heteronymity, but it's "due diligence" if you have major problems with spelling.

Yes, i'd laugh a lot.

I'd also laugh at a dyslexic who's aspiration is to be a calligrapher.

Again fair point, but would a paraplegic even attempt that?

Utter tripe. You can spot dyslexia from spelling on a forum? Perhaps you spot dyslexia and it is a common excuse but more often than not it is just poor literacy. Lets not turn this thread into one where everyone uses dyslexia for poor spelling and ADHD for bad behaviour.
