For a moment there I thought we were in trouble.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that this financial "crisis" is different from previous ones in that this is the first one where information is flowing freely and any one can start a panic, and papers that prior to the internet wouldn't have been read by many are now being read by more. Basically there is too much information out there with very little quality control, no one really knows who any of these advisers or pundits online is or how qualified they are to comment.

The idea that this is all to do with the media is pushing it. The Fed pumped the economy with lots of paper money so we could have a long boom, but eventually all bubbles burst.

I realise there are blame stories attached to Clinton, CDS regulation, market deregulation etc., but Radio 2's bald scotsman said last week that it's all down to BBC finance 'guru' Robert Peston - according to Ken Bruce, every time Peston speaks the markets tank. The man has a point.

Ken Bruce?

Ken Bruce?

Okay. You've said enough. Step away from the keyboard.

Can I go back yet? It's difficult typing from here.

Well, how about this:

You go in Monday morning and the boss says "sorry lads, the bank's pulled our overdraft. We can't write any cheques out or pay your salaries"

You'd perfer the media to hush up bad news? Have you considered watching the North Korean news, only good news there.

I must admit odyssey has a bit of a point here, there seems to be a lot of running around in circles having a good old panic when there is sweet fanny fk all the vast majority of us can do about it.

We're all passengers caught on a ship is some mighty crappy weather.

Personally Im just carrying on as I was before, working hard, earning some dough, spending a bit and saving a bit.
