I have been noticing more and more when in traffic it isn't the youngsters that are blasting the stereos, but it seems the Radio 4 listeners are always the ones deafening themselves.

Is this purely as they are all getting on, so a bit deaf?

Has anyone else noticed this?

No, it's because they constantly skip between the studio with a good microphone turned up to ten and the interviewee on 1989 Motorola PAYG with a duff battery being held on the other side of a motorway from where they are speaking so everytime they cut back to the studio you go deaf! ranting

With a name like that all I can do is laugh.

I was in traffic last wed and I could hear Radio 4 through my car window and his Discovery's closed windows. Now that is damn loud.

The first part of a Patrick O'Brian novel (He of Master & Commander, Far Side of the World fame) was on last wednesday - he was probably listening to that if he had any sense yes

It's not just R4. When the shcool run dads line up nearby to collect their sprogs, I can often hear the 'boom boom' of Radio Crap FM passing through their closed doors and my front window. No wonder the kids are stupid.
