Should NOT Disciplining your Kids be illegal?
Discussion
Fed up with these whingers complaining that we shouldn't be able to tell the child they have done something wrong.
Should it be illegal for people to NOT discipline their feral little s**ts? I'm fed up of seeing the screaming brats in shops etc.. and the parents saying, "please Timothy, do behave", then "don't do that Timothy or I shall get cross", followed by "now really Timothy" as the little s***e continues to throw stuff from the shelf at his mum, which is then followed by "Now Timothy I shall get cross, put those back" (again!) when he starts to UNWRAP toys from the shelf and being playing with them.
Now, I am standing there thinking that stupid c*w and her brat need a good smack. So, should it be law that parents should control and discipline their scrotes?

Isn't it genetic? Children 'misbehave' to push the limits of their parents, who are 'supposed' to slap them down.
When older, without having had limits set, the older scrotes continue to push - this time against society, law, police etc.
Actually, it's rather ironic that these days neither parents nor authority are willing to discipline (i.e. take actions likely to deter repeat offenses) those under their control...

You should be able to reason with children (who are well bought up) without resorting to using violence against them. I think the parents who are at fault are those who can't be bothered to do this and just take the easy option of giving them a good smack. If I had been taught from an early age that if someone did something I didn't like the answer was to hit them, I guess I'd probably do the same.

Then why do the vast bulk of people who were subjected to corporal punishment at school seem not to do that?Lola22 said:

And what do you think the reasoning capabilities of a 2-4 year old are?Lola22 said:

The easy option is that they just let them carry on or to try reasoning with them. The decent parents draw the line and "resort to violence".Edited by shadowninja on Tuesday 14th October 18:57
Parents (of which I am one) should be held responsible for all their child does up to the age of sixteen.
If you let your dog bite someone it`s your dog your fault.
Children are no different,if you choose to have them then accept that its your responsibility to control and guide them.
If someones child smashes some windows which results in police action,be it caution or court then the parents should also face the same.
If they do wrong it`s then your fault, also.
This may sound a bit simplistic but it is common sense.
your children reflect on you as parents by their behaviour.
Although it seems most parents couldn`t give a flying toss about this anyway.
If controlling your children entails a little smack on the hand or leg from time to time, then so be it.
too many bleeding hearts pussies in this country.
I understand the need to protect children from abuse but there is a line between abuse and control/discipline,a fairly broad line.

That is possibly one of the most sensible answers i've seen in p&p for some time!!If you let your dog bite someone it`s your dog your fault.

Theres so much been written about this recently and to be honest I couldn,t spare time to wade through the last thread but I totally agree with this OP , a CORRECTIVE smack at an early age , doesn't need to be heavy handed and lays down a marker for the child , soon after the child can be controlled by "THE LOOK" and you just don,t have this screaming brat situation which is what is so wrong about modern Britain.
I was recently in a shop where a child was mis-behaving and I overheard the mother trying to gain control..."don,t do that Connor , a policeman will come and take you away" do I need to say any more ?

I was smacked when naughty as a child.I have used violence 3 times in my life, all of which the police have been involved and been on my side.
But in your opinion I should be going around beating people.
