Right,

I hate halloween, but it's my brother's birthday pub crawl in fancy dress, and on the same day my work are doing some competition for best fancy dress.

So I'm going to make an effort; I want to go as an infected from 28 Days/Weeks Later, but have no idea how to achieve the effects. I want to avoid smothering myself in ketchup or smelly fake-blood; especially when it needs to be on my face whilst I'm eating/drinking...

So, how can I pull this off?

Is there anywhere I can get red contact lenses from that don't actually alter my eyesight?

Old shirt/trousers ripped up.

Red food dye over shirt and chin.

Bit of white stuff for paleness

Mess up hair

Zombie....Done.

A mate of mine went to a party as Shawn of the Dead. Same principle but less scruffy and carrying a cricket bat. Awesome.

My mate wore that to his missus's 25th birthday, pure comedy!

That shows a complete lack of minerals, if your going to do it, its worth doing properly.

Don't bestow me with your psychotic tendencies; get back on the couch! frown

Anyone know anything about the red contact lenses?
Will red food dye look like blood when soaked onto clothes?
Assuming I can't make food dye look like blood on skin (I.E. face and neck)

Red paint + pva glue but for christ sake make sure the paint is water based!

as for your shirt, imo food dye will probably do and as for contacts have fun if your not used to wearing them, getting them out after a night on the last is "fun" at the best of times

Trying to convince Lady B.J.W to wear this at Halloween.

Negotiations are progressing, albeit at an early stage.

Easy.

My idea is as follows.

Don't shave for a week. Then, on the 31st, shave one side of your face as you would normally. Add some detail to the side you have left unshaved, mess up your hair on this side and (Ta Da) a ready made Doctor Jekyll and Mr Hyde.

I have had this idea for a few years, but I never get invited to Halloween Parties (or any parties for that matter)

Put red food dye in your eyes like optrex.

Its probably been tested on bunnies so you'll be fine.

HTH

p.s. when you work out your braile keyboard in a few months time, let us know how you got on.

I suspect that costume only looks like that if she's a size 6 with surgically enhanced boobs, bulldog clips on the back of the outfit pulling it tight, someone following her around with a fan blowing in her face and someone else following her around with an airbrush. On everyone else it'll look like a badly fitting shirt and brown shorts.

Cheap halloween costumes - don't do it!
