Needed for what?

Insult some foreigners or to abuse their privilege?

A VERY small part of me wants to see him (Labour)get re-elected, just for curiosity value to see just how far his uber left socialist policies will take the country - but a huge part of me thinks no - the UK deserves so much better, and deperately needs a centre right government, ASAP!

He will be elected over most peoples' dead decaying pension funds.

Some tough choices recently. Real economy effects are still to show and next year will be tough.

By this time next year, we will have low inflation again (possibly too low, 2% is healthy and a good target)
By this time next year, we will have more than 2million unemployed
By this time next year, the economy will be tanked.

Just wait until people get their end of year pension statements showing that rather than retiring, they have to work an extra 4 years to make up the short fall.

'Re-elected'

hehe Very good.

If only he'd been elected in the first place, eh?

(Oh, and anyone who points out that you elect your local MP, not the PM yadayadayada, is merely showing an extraordinary level of naivety)

I feel that if the UK really had only 2 million unemployed, and the rest working, as they try to make out, then the economy should be pretty healthy right now.......

yes

With Gordon the Ditherer bottling the honeymoon election after his coronation he knows he has to struggle on to the bitter end and hope circumstances work for him - by chance. They won't.

At the time of the 2010 General Election there may well be 3 million unemployed, the country will have endured a prolonged recession which has already started, the feelgood factor evaporated long ago, his banking bailout plan will be seen as the work of two advisers (which it was) not him, the crunch and everything else happened on his watch anywa,y and his policies put the country in a less favourable position to take avoidance measures. His pension raid and stealth tax spree won't be forgotten that quickly, backdated VED tax robbery, 10p tax fiasco, control and surveillance freakery, who in large numbers wants that lot...and he's a dour sonofabh at the best of times. Not a hope.

Oh dear, this old chestnut. As much as I hate the wonky-faced tt, he was "elected" just as much as any previous Prime Minister in so far as the members of the party that he represents elected him to be leader. We merely elect the party.
