Robert Peston from the BBC must be loving it
I imagine he was mega well paid to start with so is never going to be feeling it liek most avg people - but since the 'credit crunch' he has been getting his face all over the TV (I used to read his business section on bbc.co.uk but rarely saw him on TV news)
His demand/fees have probably shot up as well!

I saw him coming out of Waterloo tube station last night- he looked pretty pissed off....I imagine he was mega well paid to start with so is never going to be feeling it liek most avg people - but since the 'credit crunch' he has been getting his face all over the TV (I used to read his business section on bbc.co.uk but rarely saw him on TV news)

There was a very interesting article in the Mail on Sunday re Robert Peston and the 'exclusives' that he manages to break to the public. When Richard Branson was looking at buying Northern Rock last year, he was told by a government official that they had to run all the ideas past Robert Peston. I believe there is currently an enquiry within the Treasury and the BoE as to where Robert is getting his information from.
