Is there anything that you can put under a bed to 100% not leave any wheel marks on a thick carpet?

An off cut of carpet, pile side down biggrin

Or you can get stupid little caster cover type things out of B&Q, but they still mark the carpet

Place the wheels in those little cup jobbies and when bed is moved, use a stiff brush to bring up carpet pile. If brush fails, place an ice cube on the patch, as it melts it brings back the pile. Works for stairlift leg marks!

Why liable? Are you renting? If so that's just normal wear and tear.

I was going to suggest ice-cubes, to perk the pile up.

I suppose you could purchase four ring-bolts and some rope, but would have to be careful with bedroom antics to stop bed from swinging into the wall.

But seriously, surely indentations on the carpet are all part of wear-and-tear.

Get some off cuts of carpet as suggested.

Floorboards.

To be more helpful, i'm assuming you are renting? I really think it would be extremely unreasonable to charge you for a new carpet for furniture placement marks....

Edit no. 2, I really should read the whole thing fully.
Tell your dad to get a life and stop being so anal. If thats the worse he has to worry about good for him.

As a carpet cleaner, I come across this all the time. Whatever you put underneath will over a long period of time make dents. I have come across all sorts of ideas, but have never seen anything that stops it 100%. Many people try icecubes and some have some success. The more you spread the weight the better, but ultimately, the bigger the dent.

Cut out four small squares of carpet where the legs sit so they go through the carpet and onto the floor. Then glue them back in when you leave and they will never know wink
