Simple really, I have a much loved, ancient pair of Rockport boots which have seen better days. The uppers and insole are all as new but I've started to wear through the sole.

I have a feeling I remember reading somewhere that Rockport offer some sort of re-soleing service but can't find any mention of it on their website.

Anyone had this done or can recommend anyone to do it?

I did google rockport resoleing but it seemed to be mainly third party companies. I was under the impression that there was an official factory service? If not, anyone got any experiences with the third party lot?

Thought I'd give this a quick bump in case someone has any ideas:

All I can find are US based companies which seems a bit excessive in terms of postage etc... Anyone done this?

To be honest, most Rockports, regardless of age, are not constructed in a very easy to resole way. You could try getting in touch with Tiso in Edinburgh who resole mountaineering boots but it's unlikely that they would be able to do anything.

iirc if you take them to a Rockport retailer they'll send them off for resoleing.

Anything Tiso do they will screw you for. I have a set of Rockport boots that have been resoled twice, and very well. I took them back to the original retailer, who tells me he sent them to Rockport. It shouldn't be a problem.

Interesting - to be honest, I cant even remember where they came from! I presume Rockport don't have their own stores like Timberland et al?

I may see if I can contact them through the website...
