Is there an easy way of finding out contact details regarding who owns a residential property? The owner is not present, and has not been for some time.

Zen.

Go straight to the Land Registry's own public portal: http://www.landregisteronline.gov.uk/

If it's registered title, you will be able to print off the details for £3

If unregistered (fairly unusual now), way more difficult as no central database kept

No worries

Just worth mentioning, if it's a flat, you might find two titles listed... one will be the freeholder's (ie the owner of the block), and the other will be the leasehold title (owner of the individual flat)
