How long should an armchair recliner last?
I've been very happy with mine, very comfortable etc.,but the back seat end collapsed a few days ago....and upon investigation, appears the wooden frame is now twisted and impossible to fix without unpicking the upholstery.
It's nearly 10 years old and originally cost £450 ...but it was so comfortable ( before it broke) that I want it fixed.
I appreciate that in a throw-away society it's cheaper to buy new...but any ideas of how I can save it?

I thought this thread was going to be about horrible things that live in the stuffing of armchairs eating tiny bits of you that fall off when you sit in them and breathing farts.

Having the courage to admit on PH to owning a reclining chair is one thing, having the courage to admit to having owned it for ten years - that is bravery worthy of a superhero.
