Covering letters.
Discussion
Currently writing a covering letter for a job, not had to do this for 8 years, and could do with a hand.
Thing is, I want to go from accountant to proposals engineer. The position is ground level, and they want to train the right candidate.
It's a drop in pay, but something I fancy, how do I go about selling myself to a technical role, when i'm qualified to do something else?
Do I have a hope in hell?
Here's the job description.
PROPOSAL ENGINEER
Salary negotiable
Proposal Engineer
Based: Aberdeen. Salary: Negoitiable depending upon experience
A Proposal Engineer is required to join the Project team. Responsibilities include coordinating technical and commercial evaluation of tenders along with preparation and submission of bid documents. This position is considered the ‘seed bed’ for project management and candidates will be trained and mentored into a project management role.
