s.

Begin to question what is the point when someone trying to help Afghanistans most vulnerable is topped by the previous 'government'.

Very sad but I do feel that this country should possibly sort its own backyard before meddling elsewhere.

Yes I understand why the war in Afghanistan is important but surely the risks for these Charity workers are so huge they should accept them or not be there.

The Taliban are not the previous government, they are still in control of most of Afghanistan are they not?

Working for a Christian organisation, hmmm. Always a probability of winding up the locals.

Sorry, getting one barbaric country mixed up with another (Iraq).

Still, hardly the key point.

We started the wars, we lied about Iraq having WMDs, we lied about a man living in a cave orchestrating 9/11 with a few mobile phone calls, we have bombed them to pieces, we have killed hundreds of thousands, we are responsible for their internal strife, we have destroyed their countries and fermented hatred in the hearts of millions of their people....

yet they are the barbarians....

Wow...great logic.

A surprising amount of Afghan people are "converting" to Christianity. I know of this from speaking to refugees/asylum seekers.

Excuse me? Who is the we you talk about?

And, yes, perhaps using the word "country" was a sweeping statement, but are you trying to tell me the Taleban is not a barbaric body? Strapping explosives to babies to carry out local terrorist attacks? Recruiting women to be suicide bombers because you can't see under their clothes?

What about the Iranians? Oh hang on, it's ok, they have just brought in a ban on executing children. But stoning and torture is still the norm.

I think the Taleban did a good job of that in the 1990s.

"Taleban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid told AFP that they killed Ms Williams "because she was working for an organisation which was preaching Christianity in Afghanistan".

...the fking despicable coward.

However, these actions do serve to illustrate how Muslims and Christians are NOT the same. Give 'em enough rope.....

Perhaps Christians in the UK should act in the same manner, killing those that attempt to preach religions other than Christianity here.

I think you may find that's been done in the past. We're just a few hundred years ahead and no longer do it quite that openly.

This is not meant as an excuse for the beardy nutters in Afghanistan BTW.....

Agreed, but (your caveat aside) there is every chance my ancestors got terrorised by the Vikings - does not mean I want to wipe Scandanavia of the map!

Particularly as a lot of their women are sweet.
