Just got back from watching this film. I have to say that I've been disappointed by most of the crap I've seen at the cinema so far this year but this was just superb. Even a couple of good car chases thrown in for good measure.
I thought Body of Lies would be the best Action/Drama this year but we could have a winner right here already.
Well worth what the local cinema was charging.

Agreed damn good film. Unlike the last we went to see which was burn after reading or whatever it's called. Anyone wondering about it due to the excellent trailer wonder no more, ALL the funny bits in the film are in that trailer!
Taken was excellent, although I did leave a bit depressed truth be told as it was yet another film that showed what horrible creatures we are.

OK I saw it today...found it fairly crap, to be honest. Very unrealistic fight scenes, stunts, etc. Liam Neeson is completely invincible? A former spy/special agent? And yet he takes constant abuse from a first class b
h of a wife who walks out on him? Nothing stops him? Fatigue, language problems, bureaucrats with twisted motives, security systems, guards, knife wounds, guns, 50-foot leaps, etc., etc., nothing? I also found his body language, movements, facial expressions, style of acting, etc., completely unbelievable in this role--he's such a fine actor, he can carry off pretty much any role, except, it seems, lethal former secret agent. And the final/ultimate villain, who was he? Some rich perv? That made no sense at all.
I like the plot, but it's protrayed in a very childish action form, without much drama, and with the wrong casting. Harrison Ford did a much more believable job in a similar movie he did where his wife disappears while he takes a shower in a Paris hotel.
The Audi was nice. Should have been black, though.

Just watched this and I thought that it was absolute dogs

Terribly formulaic, really predictable, no plot, no surprises, no charm, no point.
To be honest I felt the film's message to be really distasteful as well. "Fellow Americans - don't let your pure innocent apple-pie children visit another country or THEY WILL be kidnapped by some filthy foreigners".
Comparing this to Ronin - you need your head read.
