I am not such an expert on model numbers.

But we have a stihl which is probably 10 years or older, gets used extensively evry winter, and is still going strong. Really top tools imo.

We have thought about changing it as the new ones are much lighter, ours is about 10kg biggrin

the 180 is a bit too lightweight for what I need, would rather get the cut done quickly than be hanging about

anyone used a husqvarna?

I have a Husqvarna 365 18"bar.I think you will find that anybody that uses a chainsaw for a living would recommend Husqvarna rather than StihlNot knocking Stihl but Husky are better

Got a 20year old husky and it still a brilliant piece of kit so while sthil are good at saw huskys are the chainsaw people

I just picked up a Husky 345 with an 18" bar this morning. Not an expert on chainsaws by any means but chose the Husky over the equivalent Stihl because I've heard good things about them.

Just spent the last hour chopping down trees and it did the job no problem. I'm knackered though! It's not the lightest in the range but I wanted the 18" bar which ruled out the smaller models as they only had 15" bars. The smallest with an 18" bar is the 340 but they didn't have one in stock so they did me the 345 for the same price. Result!

A reminder to take care, lads.....

A 21 year old student of tree surgery has just died in my neck of the woods after slipping and dropping it on his neck..

I really don't know how I've got away with it for so long.
