I just called the speaking clock on '123' to set my watch, and Tom Baker has gone and its now a fairy called tinkerbell giving little chimes!

What the hell is that all about?

(or did I just have too much to drink last night and all of this, including my posting on here is just a wierd dream?)

good way of drumming up business - get it into the news that the voice has changed and everyone calls it to see...

That's the first time I've ever rang the speaking clock.

I literally phoned this this morning to see if I had to go to work yet or the phone had failed to auto set its self.

I rang 123 expecting a nice pleasant voice, and I was greeted by this. I actually threw the phone across my bedroom in horror, woke up to find it in pieces hehe

Think I might get some strange looks (or a punch) on my own in the cinema watching a film targetted at children. scratchchin

Why the heck would anybody want to call the speaking clock when you can sync your PC clock for free, or use teletext?

Was that instead of Hypothetically phoning? winkhehe

I hadn't even realised Tom Baker was the speaking clock never mind a fairy! Last time I called (Years ago) it was a womans voice.
