What's this song?

Sorry, no idea. But I've used Shazam before when I can't identify a piece of music.
Dial 2580 and play the music down the phone. After 20 secs or so, call ends and with any you'll receive a text with the song and artist. Doesn't always identify though,
Worked for me with some quite obscure songs.

Another vote for Shazam.
I've had positive results from Shazam when I was 99% certain it would not be able to "name that tune"
Any tech-ie around to explain exactly how it works?
I can only imagine that it effectively compares the sample that you send it against a database.... but then I've seen it work in nightclubs and pubs where the ambient background noise is full of inane pub banter and chatter - surely that would change the sample significantly?
