gave up on travel insurance when I had the best one that a company was offering yet only got £20 when a plane was cancelled coming back from poland and I had to pay for another flight and hotel myself ( grrrr ).

However, am travelling from terminal 5 this wed so think I better have some more!

Which one is best for a yearly multi trip one?

Thanks

Try going on moneysupermarket and do an insurance quote from them

Even the well know companies like AA offer it cheaper through the comparison website than their own.

I got a weeks insurance for £10 when I travelled to Egypt and it offered better options than the more well know companies.

Black annual policy.

No excess, high cover and far fewer exceptions than a "normal" policy. It also covers a whole load of "dangerous" sports that other policies will not cover.

why not give some thought to what else it covers rather than just if a plane is cancelled?!

ever looked into how much it costs if you are not fit to fly unaccompanied? need a medical repatriation? die and need to have your body repatriated? these things can easily get into the 10's of thousands of pounds... which if not met by travel insurance (which can cost ya as little as £6 a trip) falls to ya family to have to meet... its amazing how many familys disown their own when faced with a 10k bill...

insure and go
mondial assistance
axa (although in my experience they are rubbish)

to name just 3 :-)

It might not be relevant to you but my top tip is always read all of the exclusions and double check that none will apply. I often ride off road motorbikes abroad, not motocross but enduro type, recreationally, so 99% of the time we are on what is legally classed as road or trail, very very few travel insurance companies don't have the exclusion of "riding a motorcyle over 125cc" The AA are one of the exceptions and offer full cover as long as you are licensed and wearing a helmet.

Sainsbury's travel insurance is supposed to be good. About £80 for annual cover inc. winter sports
