Hey all,

My cousin is due to have her first kid any day now so I have said I will look after their dog for a couple of weeks. Had dosa as a kid so not a problem but I noticed my cousin seems to go to all these parks etc where loads of people walk their dogs. I need to walk this one for a couple of hours a day at least so where in N London is dog friendly?

Cheers

PL

North London is quite large. Where do you live?

Hampstead Heath and Finsbury Park leap to mind.

I live near Stanmore.

I know hampstead heath but was not sure how dog freindly it is. There is a really nice park in Hendon but there really should be somewhere closer - amazing how little I know my own neck of the woods!

If you go to Hampstead, you might bump into George Michael "walking his dog" near the public conveniences...

I have a friend who lives in Hampstead, walks his dog on the Heath. Many dogs get dog napped there.

The fashionable ones are mostly targetted. Things such as Labradoodles.

I walk my dog in Trent Park in Cockfosters. Possibly a bit too far for you to travel to.

if you go for a walk in Frient Fields (Kingsbury - near Salmon St) make sure you're out of the car park by dusk

be careful not to step on anything soiled

Other dog walkers, possibly somewhere for me to have a coffee while the dog runs about off the lead, not near main roads.

I was once taken for a tour of various woodland carparks round that way by a bloke that had been "walking dogs" for 30 years. Its amazing the number of people that walk dogs at midnight. Unfortunately no women frown

There's one on stonegrove. No coffee places though - just open ground and not many people about usually but it depends on the time you go.
